Paint protection film

A tough, clear film over your paint. It takes the stone chips, road rash and car park scuffs, and you can barely tell it's there.

XPEL installer · 10 year XPEL film warranty

What it is

Paint protection film, or PPF, is a clear film fitted over the painted panels of your car. It takes the stone chips, road rash and car park scuffs, so the paint underneath doesn't.

The top layer is self healing. Light swirls and wash marks fade with heat from the sun or warm water. Gloss film keeps the factory shine, and stealth film gives gloss paint a satin look.

We fit XPEL film, and it comes with a 10 year XPEL film warranty that we register for you. If you ever want it off, it comes off with heat and leaves the paint as it was.

How much of the car

Most people do the front end, because that's where the chips happen. Your quote lists every panel that's covered.

Front end

Bonnet, front guards, bumper, mirrors and headlights. Where most stone chips happen.

Track pack

The front end plus extra high-impact areas. What it covers depends on the car, and your quote spells it out.

Full body

Every painted panel. Suits track days, country driving and long commutes.

Gloss or stealth

Gloss film keeps the factory shine. Stealth film gives gloss paint a satin look and protects it at the same time.

Questions about PPF

Should I do the front end or the whole car?

A front end package covers the bonnet, guards, bumper, mirrors and headlights, which is where most chips happen. Full body suits track days, country driving and long commutes. We'll tell you honestly which your car needs.

Will I be able to see the film?

From normal viewing distance most people can't tell it's there. Up close you might find an edge if you look for it. Gloss film keeps the shine and stealth film turns it satin.

Does it stop every stone chip?

It takes the hit instead of your paint, which covers the chips and scratches you get from everyday driving. A big enough hit can still damage the film. If that happens, that panel can be re-filmed.

My car already has a few chips. Can I still get film?

Yes, but the film goes over the chips, it doesn't hide them. Mention them when Matt calls and he'll talk through your options first.

How do I look after it?

Hand wash it, wait a week before the first wash, and skip car washes with brushes. You get the full aftercare steps by email when you pick the car up.

Is there a warranty?

Yes. XPEL film comes with a 10 year XPEL film warranty, and we register it for you when you pick the car up.
